Homily of the Day!

Every 6th of October, I make sure that I attend the 6AM Church mass and this year, I never failed to do that. In this little way of saying "thank you" to God, I am blessed because He gives me another year to live, another year to celebrate His blessings, another year to be with my loved ones.

I wasn't able to to get the Gospel but from what I heard and remembered, the Gospel came from the Book of Luke though what strikes me most is how the priest explained it through his Homily. The priest said, "When it comes to prayer, we need to be back to basics. Don't forget our basic prayer, 'The Lord's Prayer'." It was a short Homily but a meaningful one.

Lord's Prayer in greek in the
Pater Noster Chapel in Jerusalem

The Lord's Prayer
Our Father who art in heaven,
hallowed be thy name.
Thy kingdom come.
Thy will be done
on earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread,
and forgive us our trespasses,
as we forgive those who trespass against us,
and lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from evil.
[For thine is the kingdom,
and the power, and the glory,
for ever and ever.]
Amen.
