I really thought that 11.11.11 will be a luck day for me. Unfortunately, it was not.
I slept at around two in the morning yesterday and I woke up at around five in the morning because I really can't breathe. I was having some asthma attack again. Damn! So I asked a favor to my dad to buy me some medicines to ease my breathing. Luckily, he did.
After breakfast, I took my medicine and sleep again cause I have work shift at around 5:30 in the afternoon. I woke up at around 1PM and I was having fever. I still can't breathe then I having fever. What a day! But of course, I can't be absent cause it was a critical working day for me since I just came from my work off and payday the next day. I just need to compose myself that I can still do my job. I love my job.
Then again, you really have to do some sacrifice so I just drink my medicine and lots and lots of water. For my difficulty in breathing, good thing, the production floor is well-ventilated so it was not a problem.
For those people who got lucky on that day, good for you. For those people who got unlucky on that day, well, it was not mean for us. We just need to live with it.
Oh, I am still sick.

In 5 Days...
I have this countdown on going in my BlackBerry phone. Yes, it started 25 days ago. A mark of me where there's an additional digit in my age. I am getting older. I had this quarter-life-crisis last year that I really experienced and had an impact in my life. I did overcome it and I am so grateful to our Lord.
In 5 days, I am really getting older. No one can stop, neither do I. That's life and the only constant thing in here is CHANGE.
I want to get inked in time for my birthday. My money is not enough. I don't want to use my savings for my first ever tattoo. Let's see what will happen next.
My family, especially my parents are suggesting already where to treat them for a dinner. My father wants to go to Wensha Spa. My mom wants to go to Dad's. My two sisters are asking me where do I treat them for a dinner. I replied, "Ang kukulit ninyo, huwag ko na lang kayo i-treat!" Then they stopped asking me a while ago. I really don't have any concrete plan where to treat them. There's still 5 days to think!

Clueless.
For the past few weeks, I am so clueless on what is happening to my life. I never felt this way before. I don't what I really want and I don't know if that person is still part of my life. Time flies so fast and the next thing I know, the year is about the end. I will get older by next month and gonna celebrate my birthday again with my family.
I wish I could have spend my life the way I want it or the way my life should be. I really don't know what the future holds for me. I hope it will lead me in the right direction. I want to be successful, but in which path? Which career? Do I still see myself practicing my profession as a civil engineer? I really don't know. Yeah, I have plans for pursuing it but not totally as a civil engineer. I want to be an environmental engineer, until now, I haven't submitted yet the requirements for the graduate school.
Love life? I don't know if he is still there for me. I haven't talked to him yet. I am really clueless right now. So clueless that I usually drink alcoholic beverages. Good thing, my team mates are there as my drinking buddies. I owe it to them when times like these. They thought that I don't have a problem with my love life, yes, I also have a problem with it. I'm not the showy type of person who is telling to the whole world that I have a problem. I just change my mood to adapt to my environment. I also owe it to my zodiac sign, I am a proud Libran.
Oh well, life must goes on. I'll just cross the bridge when I get there. Hopefully, before this year ends, some of my questions should have been answered already so I will not be forever clueless.

My New Hair Style!
It has been two and a half months since I didn't have my hair cut. I was having hair cut at
Ménage Salon in TriNoMa and it is all because of Harry Acuña. He is my hair stylist for almost four years and he really knows what to do with my hair.
When I learned that he transferred to a different salon, I immediately follow him at Kabibe Salon, located in Katipunan Avenue near Cravings.. Though Ménage Salon is a nice salon, I still prefer having my hair cut from Harry Acuña. He really never failed me in my hair styles.

A Decade of My LIFE
I have shared my life with a lot of people and had a fair share with them. Looking back in what happened in my life in the past decade, so far, these are the most important things that had happened in my fabulous life.
2000. The year I met my first girlfriend and experienced how love was great and pure. PERIOD!2001. My heart was broken for the first time. I managed to be in the top of the class at the end of my third year in high school. My High School Senior life started.
2002. I met my second girlfriend but it only lasted for a short time. I graduated in high school although I wasn't able to give my mom a medal and I was frustrated and came to the point I blamed myself why I had to join the volleyball varsity team. Still, I was happy because I started my college life being a TOMASINO.
2003. Ended a one –year relationship with a guy. Yes, my first boyfriend and had my second boyfriend who happened to my schoolmate but with a different course. Had my second out of the country vacation and it was in US. It was a family vacation and we spent our summer with the Arellano Family in Tinley Park, IL. We had side trips in Chicago, IL, New York City, NY, Orlando, FL and San Francisco, CA. It was a blast.
2004. For the first time, I flunked a subject because of a bad break-up. It affected me so much. At the same time, I was accidentally become OUT to my family. Although, I admitted it to my aunt, my father’s youngest sister, and to my aunt’s best friend and later on, the best friend told it to my mom. My parents didn’t talk to me for a month because of what happened. In the middle of the year, I was introduced to Pinoy Pride, an LGBT Forum Site.
2005. Celebrated my 2nd decade of existence. Pinoy Pride had their 1st GEB party in Club Government, Makati City with its theme, Pride & Power. I was part of it and was their Logistics Officer at that time. It was fun celebrating PRIDE with your friends.
2006. Started my senior year in UST-Faculty of Engineering and I handled two organizations which were Engineering COMELEC and EnTER CoDe (Engineering Team for Emergency Response and Community Development) and became the Chairman and Vice-President for Logistics respectively. I was so busy with studies, organizations, and other stuffs like thesis and projects. I still managed to have a social life.
2007. First month of the year, the Civil Engineering Class of 2007 had a 5-day field trip Baguio with a side trip in La Union. It was a blast and had fun enjoying our vacation and not thinking about studies, thesis and projects at that time. I am part of the UST-Engineering Centennial Batch and I was proud of it because graduated on time. At the end of the year, PRC (Professional Regulation Commission) released a memorandum for all Civil Engineering examinees who took the Board Exam on November that the two subjects should have a retake exam.
2008. January came for the Retake exam for the Civil Engineering examinees; I was one of the boycotters of the batch. For the second time, my parents didn’t talk to me and they immediately said that I should have a job as soon as possible because they wouldn’t give me any allowances anymore. I was forced to look for work and ended up being a call center agent for Sykes Asia, Inc. I never regret that I ended up working in a BPO Industry but thanking God for what He had gave me. I gain new friends again. Tiffany Gurls was born in this year and thanks to my fabulous friends, you know who you are.
2009. I resigned from Sykes Asia, Inc. last February to take the Civil Engineering May Board Exams and luckily, I passed after a two-month refresher course. Whew! I can now call myself as a licensed Civil Engineer and easily got a job at EIFS, Inc. were I was a Project Engineer but didn't stay that long. Then, I got bored. I applied again in BPO Industry and finally had my 3rd job. I gain new friends. Then a bad news struck our family, my maternal grandfather died at the age of 87 last July. Everybody was shocked including my relatives in US and Canada. Lastly, my Berks never failed to have a monthly bonding.
2010. My life is still unwritten.
I was reading my past 5 Starbucks planner dated back 2005 and looking for a quotes that I had written when my friends sent me a text message and ended up with a quote that really struck me and what I can say to my life right now.
You are what you repeatedly do. It starts with INTELLIGENCE, then a HABIT, then your CHARACTERISTIC and finally your DESTINY.

Yes, We're Gay But...
I was browsing my Facebook account a while ago and I bumped to one of my friend's link. I watched the video and I thought it was just an ordinary video, an ordinary GAY video. But I was wrong. Not all gay are the same. Actually, all gay people are different from each other. We have our own likes and dislikes. It's what differ us from other people. I maybe gay but I love Civil Engineering. My passion goes with it. Like the people in this video.
But this isn't because I am gay. But because I'm Elijah!

Jobless Birthday. Still Thankful.
Today is my BIRTHDAY!
I am jobless right now. I just resigned from my work and it was effective just this 3rd of October. I know it's too soon to resign from my work but I need to. It's not that I don't want my job but I am seeking more experience in the field of Civil Engineering.
I woke up around five in the morning to prepare for my yearly routine during my special day and went to the nearest shrine in my town. It's one way of saying thank you to the Lord for giving me the special day of my life for being alive. For giving me another day of hope, another day of happiness and another day of my life.
Breakfast, cooked by my dad. I know it's a simple meal but for me, it is meaningful cause in his own little ways of showing that he loves me. Thanks dad for the breakfast.
I thought I was able to catch a short nap after eating breakfast cause I only had four hours of sleep. Why? The first person to greet me on my birthday was Joel Aldor, a good friend of mine. He called me up at exactly 12 midnight just to greet me. I was touched. I just decided to play Mystery Case Files: Prime Suspects in my laptop and was able to finished the game in three hours. Lol.
Lunch came and it was another simple meal. Nothing special about it. Just ordinary fried chicken for lunch. I am satisfied with it.
Mom told me that we're going to Makati after lunch cause it's my maternal grandmother's last day here in Manila and she's going back to Bacolod tomorrow. We left the house around two in the afternoon and arrived here around 3:30PM. Traffic was everywhere.
We just decided
to stay in Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf in Greenbelt 3 to kill the boredom. Good thing I brought my laptop cause I don't have an internet connection in our house because my Smart Bro antenna is not working. Damn! I checked my five e-mail, Facebook account, Multiply account, Friendtser account and etc. and was overwhelmed for the birthday greetings that I have received. Thank you guys to those who greeted me. It really means a lot to me.
My maternal's grandmother's sister and her two kids join us for an early din
ner here in Italianni's Greenbelt 2. Sicilian Chicken Salad is a must to order here. We so love this salad. We always order this salad whether we were in Trinoma or in Gateway branch. This salad never fails us to delight our taste buds. Not only this salad but also the pasta that we order here. Pesto Pasta is not in their entrée but we were able to order cause they can customize their entrée for customers. That's why I love Italianni's so much not just that I am a pasta and salad lover but they know how to entice their customers. Kudos for Italianni's.
Another special day had passed and it will happen again after 365 days from now. I am quite satisfied with what I have right now in my life. A loving family, good health, my relatives in Cainta were fine after the Typhoon Ondoy. Although, I am still waiting for that one special person of my life to greet me in my special day.
Although I am jobless. Still, I am thankful to God for what I have right now and for what I am right now.

The Day I Lost My Phone.
I really hate this day.
First, by the time I left the house, it was raining. It was raining hard. Grrrrr.... I hate to wear jacket during summer days but I need to because of the rain.
Next, I haven't heard from him and I miss him so much.
Last, my phone got stolen while riding the jeepney going to Philcoa when I'm on my way to the review center. It was my globe number phone actually but I need that phone. All of my contacts are there. It was the number I used when I send my resume to companies that I had applied for. My contacts that was saved in that phone was already almost 1000.
So, I got a new globe sim and I'll let you know my number ASAP.

One Month From Now.
May 7, 2009.
One month from now, I will be taking the Civil Engineering Board Exams again. Yes, for the second time around, I will take it. I know some of you already have a speculation that I didn't pass the board exams during my first take and some of you know the real reason why.
It was November 17-18, 2007 when I first take the board exams and I know in my heart that I am surely gonna pass it. But it turns out to be my dreams will be shattering apart in an instant. Usually, the results of the board exams for Civil Engineering will be released after two to three days after the second day of the exam. A week had passed and no signs yet of the board passers.
November 23, 2008. This was the day that the PRC recommending to nullify the examination results of two (2) subjects - Hydraulics and Geotechnical Engineering; and Structural Engineering and Construction. PRC also proposed all examinees to re-take the said subjects on January 12, 2008. I was shocked. Everybody was shocked to the announcement of the PRC.
The proposed re-take exam day came. Around six in the morning I was already outside UE campus because this was the building assigned for me. I was having a chat with some of my batch mates if they will take the exam or boycott the exam. Prior to that, I was in doubt and made a blog of it as well. You know what I did, I boycott the exam and I was interviewed by an ABS-CBN reporter Nikko Baua why will I boycott the exam. It was fun and I was determined not to take the re-take exam. I never regret my decision and I am proud of it.
Too much for the drama and right now, I am ready to take again the Civil Engineering board exam and this will be the start in order to fulfill my dreams as a Civil Engineer.
So help me GOD.

One-Year Ago.
March 3, 2008, I AM SYKES. This was the first day I started working with Sykes and I never regret working in a call center like Sykes. Although I don’t have any experience in a call center. I was glad that I had a work that time even though my course was totally different from it.
Two weeks of core skills and call center communication training was given by Sykes to its new employees like me and had two weeks also of product training from the account which I was affiliated which was Office Depot. During those weeks, I had the pleasure meeting new people and gaining new friends, which I was thankful. Especially the Unwritten Girls: Julius, Sushi, Red, Jan, Jojo and Me; and we were all gay.
I stayed for Office D
epot as a Customer Service Representative for almost 7 months and had one of the closest friends,Jojo Bauda. Yes, he is gay also and we clicked so much but not to the aspect of moving to the next level. Heis like my elder brother. I also had the pleasure of working with three team leaders. First one, he is Vince Marcelino, which I was under from him for two and a half months then followed by Pat Paggao and stayed for three months. And last but not least, Daniel Pancho, that only last for 2 weeks also. I know it was short but all of my TL’s were the best.
Then came October, which I need to transferred to another account, and it was a totally differen
t account. Right now, I was a Technical Support Representative for Kodak US Account. I underwent for product training for a month and started going live on November. I had the pleasure working with Heidz Mendoza, my team leader. I stayed for her for three months and she was a friend to me.
Sad to say but I need to leave Sykes so soon. I need to fulfill a greater destiny. Yes, I need to take the upcoming Civil Engineering board exam this coming May. Heidz doesn’t want me to leave but I need to. I leave Sykes last February 8, 2009 and it was really a hard decision for me.
It is almost a month since I left Sykes but I don’t have any regrets from it. Today, this is supposed to be my anniversary in Sykes and I am glad that I had been a part of it. Rather, I WAS SYKES.
