GLEE's Kurt's First Kiss

A while ago, GLEE's latest episode was all about KISS. Kurt Hummel was Never Been Kissed until now. He received his first kiss from David Karofsky, a jock, that has been repeatedly bullying him. I was able to watched it a while ago in ETC (Entertainment Channel) but their kissing scene was been cut. So I need to watch it and look for its video in Youtube.

"It Gets Better" (Broadway sings for the Trevor Project)

Yesterday, when the Spirit Day is about to end, another young gay man committed suicide, his name is Corey Jackson. This brings a sad news for the whole LGBTQ community because another life has taken away.

In my own little ways, I am supporting the Anti-Gay Bullying through my blog, Twitter and Facebook account. After watching this video by the Broadway cast for the Trevor Project, I know that "It Gets Better" if we are here to support them. Being HOMOSEXUAL is NOT A DISEASE and we don't need a CURE for it. We just need ACCEPTANCE and EQUAL RIGHTS.

This video really uplifts my spirit and the pain will just go away, not now but eventually. So we really need to be a fighter, a fighter for our own rights.

It gets better, better, better
The pain will let up, let up, let up
If you fall just get up, get up, get up
Ohh, cause there's another way
It gets better, better, better
The world gets lighter, lighter, lighter
So be a fighter, fighter, fighter
Ohh, just live to see that day
Yeah, live to see that day (that day)
Live to see that day

Resending The Open Letter to ALL Filipino LGBT Individuals, Organizations, and Allies Regarding LGBT Killings

by Marlon Lacsamana on Friday, October 8, 2010 at 2:47pm

Since the initiative of MCCQC, SGO-Phils, OUTPhils, GABAY, IFTAS and other concerned LGBT individuals and formations last September 2009 we only have accounted a few cases (past cases were researched from news archives): Documenting these cases would provide our legislators ammunition to pass the Anti-Discrimination Bill pending in congress as well as lobbying for an Anti-Hate Crime Bill.

We make this call again to everyone: If you have heard or known of a murder or homicide case or any incident of violence which the LGBT community is targeted please send us the following information at the MCCQC e-mail metropolitancommunitychurchqc@gmail.com or IFTAS mtlacsamana@gmail.com. If you are a member of any of the participating organizations mentioned in this letter, contact your community leaders:

1. Name of the Victim
2. Age of the Victim
3. Profession of the Victim
4. Date of Crime
5. Circumstances how they were killed and how they were found
6. Notes or other information on the police investigation. When available, kindly inform us too of contact persons whom we can keep in touch with so we can verify and probe deeper into the case at hand.

Confidentiality regarding information on the victims and the respondents will be ensured. We all need to act to end the killings.

The information received will be used for dialogues with the Commission on Human Rights (CHR) and the Philippine National Police (PNP).

Thank you very much! Peace and safety be with us all.

Gay marriage a 'dangerous threat', Pope warns

By PinkNews.co.uk Staff Writer • May 13, 2010 - 18:30

Pope Benedict has called gay marriage and abortion "dangerous threats to the common good" during a visit to Portugal.

The pontiff is on a four-day visit to the country and gave a Mass today to 500,000 people at Fatima, which is considered the Portuguese Lourdes.

Fatima is one of the most revered sites in Catholicism after three shepherd children claimed in 1917 to have seen a vision of the Virgin Mary. Catholics flock to the site in search of miracle cures and to worship there.

Addressing followers today, the Pope called for pastoral action to tackle abortion and same-sex marriage, which he called "some of today's most insidious and dangerous threats to the common good".

He called abortion a "tragedy" and urged for protection of the "family based on the indissoluble marriage between a man and a woman".

Portugal approved gay marriage earlier this year. In January, speaking just after Portugal's parliament voted in favour of the move, the Pope called it an "attack" on the natural differences between men and women.

He recently criticised gay rights measures contained in Britain's Equality Act. He said measures designed to ensure churches were not discriminating when hiring staff were against "natural law".

Following his attack, the government backed down on pushing the measures through.

The Pope is due to visit the UK this September for four days, although protests have already been held by groups angry at his stance on gay rights, abortion, women and contraception.

In an end-of year address in 2008, he said that the existence of gay people threatens humanity as much as the destruction of the rainforests does and that "blurring" genders through acceptance of transgender people would kill off the human race.

He has also attacked the use of condoms to tackle HIV, saying they may make the problem worse.

Brent Corrigan Bags It Up | Love & Sex | Advocate.com

safPorn star Brent Corrigan puts his early appearances in bareback films behind him and partners with D.C.–based STD prevention group FUK !T for a series of instructional videos on proper condom use.

BRENT CORRIGAN SCREENGRAB X390
Porn star Brent Corrigan has partnered with Washington D.C.–based STD prevention group DC Fuk !t for a series of instructional videos on proper condom use and sexual health.

The program launched last year after a study revealed the nation’s capital has the highest percentage of HIV-positive residents in the country. It promotes safe sex and condom use through the distribution of safe sex kits promoted by a series of provocative, often sexually graphic ads and videos.
Cofounder Terry Gerace, M.D. says he recruited Corrigan for the campaign because of what he’s learned since starring in a series of bareback films at the beginning of his career while he was still underage. (Watch Corrigan's video here: WARNING: Contains sexually explicit content; NSFW)

“He has long since become an advocate for safer sex and has very publicly apologized for his past appearances in films depicting unsafe sexual practices,” Gerace says.

Garace talked to The Advocate about Corrigan’s video shoot, why he thinks the young porn star has more than redeemed himself for his bareback films, and how a recent scandal involving Yale University ended up playing a role in Corrigan’s campaign.

The Advocate: Why did you approach Brent Corrigan, who is known for shooting a number of bareback porn videos early in his career, to come full circle and do this PSA for proper condom use?
Terry Gerace, M.D.: It wasn’t so much about him having done bareback porn, it was that he’s made this change from doing it to not doing it. He hasn’t done those sorts of films for at least four years. He’s stayed in the industry, and now only does safer sex porns. It was really about it being someone who learned from their behavior and made a change, which I think represents most young people. They’ll start out doing something high-risk, and if they’re lucky, they’ll survive it and make a change. That’s what he did, so I think in a lot of ways, he represents your average person.

So much has gone back and forth about Corrigan — some think he was very aware of what he was doing in his early films, and others think he was a young kid taken advantage of by porn producers. Working with him on this campaign, what was your sense?
Oh, I would say that he was taken advantage of pretty clearly. No 17-year-old knows what they’re doing (laughs). He knew what he was doing as well as any 17-year-old brain knows what it’s doing. He definitely was taken advantage of, I don’t have any question about that… which is why he’s grown considerably. He’s an amazingly mature individual for someone who’s been through what he’s been through.
He was supposed to be back east attending Yale’s Co-op Pride, which is how you planned his trip to come and work on these videos. There’s been a lot written about what went down with Yale. Did it throw a wrench in your plans at all?
I had purchased plane tickets already for him to facilitate [the trip to Yale], so he just lost the plane tickets… we just had to reschedule and get him a new plane ticket. It just cost us $190. It wasn’t a huge deal, obviously. It was just sort of ironic.

And what about the reasons that were given for his appearance being canceled?
Well, it was a couple of things that they said. I knew for a fact he was doing it for free, and their first thing was that he’d asked for too much money, which was not the case (Garace says Corrigan also participated in the DC Fuk !t campaign for free). The second thing was that he was too controversial because he’d done bareback, and of course he was coming right off of shooting a safer sex video.

You have one video with Brent online now, but he shot more, correct?
We shot three little videos… there are two more coming. One he talks about sexually transmitted diseases specifically, and then another one he actually did with Matthew Rush, which is a little mock sex-ed class. Those will be coming out during the summer.

The goal of the campaign is to get people to practice safer sex, but it goes about it in a very provocative, almost taboo sort of way. What has response been like to the campaign?
It’s about being honest, really. Gay men don’t learn a lot about sex in the sex-ed classroom. They learn on the Internet, from porn. That’s where they’re getting this material, and we were seeing such resurgence in bareback online that we needed to put out an alternative that focused on safer sex. It’s tongue-in-cheek. a little bit. that they’re public service announcements, but they’re very straightforward in showing you exactly what you have to do. I think they’re pretty effective. I was bracing for negative feedback, and frankly, we haven’t gotten any.

Manila Pride March 2009: We DARE. We CARE.

The 2009 Manila Pride March is getting near. Indeed, PRIDE season has already started.

December 5, 2009. Pride March is scheduled to take place in Malate and in the first Saturday of December. Thousands of Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender (LGBT) Filipinos will gather to this event. Not only Filipinos but also foreigners will join in this parade, including their families, friends, loved ones and supporters in one colorful parade.

This event will not be push through without Task Force Pride (TFP) Philippines behind it. We need to be aware on what's happening in our Philippine community about the issues, needs and concerns. We need to unify the local LGBT community. Pride March will definitely help us to voice out our needs.

This is the only day of the year that our community will be as colorful as we are. Show us our PRIDE by joining in this wonderful event. I will be there with my friends. You can also be there. To join/volunteer, and also for more updates, visit http://www.taskforcepride.blogspot.com/

This is the 2009 Manila Pride March: We Dare. We Care.
