My First Ever Tattoo, I was #DevirgINKized!

It has been year already since I was searching for a tattoo artist. Actually, I was really planning to get my first tattoo way back 2010 but don't have the guts yet. Then I learned from my childhood friend, Janine, that our high school batch mate, Sam Moldero, is now a tattoo artist and I immediately contacted her through Facebook and scheduled an appointment. 

The design that I chose was my family's coat of arms that I found in the internet and yes, I am proud to be part of the BRINGAS clan. Here's the design.

Last Saturday, February 25, was my first session with her, we started with the tattoo lining and it last for 3 hours because of the intricate design that I had. Indeed, beauty has price. We're about to continue after that, unfortunately, Sam has another appointment which she totally forgot about so we decided to continue it last Sunday, Feb 26. This time, more on shading. I though it will just last for 3-4 hours since it was shading already. And I was wrong, the shading session lasted for 7 hours. I had it placed at my back and it was painful but not that painful when the needle struck near my spine and scapula that it makes my knees weaken.

I know it was painful but it gives me a great satisfaction after seeing the outcome of my first ever tattoo. Thanks again, Sam Moldero.

HERALDIC MEANING

The Heraldry, full of simbología, had the function to show the elements of identity, diferenciadores of the others, of that one that was carrying it. Of this form, in the shield of weapon we meet several symbols and enamels. The shield of weapon stops being, fundamentally, the defensive piece, to turn into a description of the qualities of the gentlemen who carry it. Another lineage of this surname took root in Madrid and Argentina.
Another lineage of this surname has a Basque origin taken root in the province of Biscay, in I make concrete in Carranza's valley, as well as in Valmaseda, Galdames and Bilbao. It(he,she) spread over Cantabria.

In Carranza's valley one finds a multitude of megalithic monuments as dolmens or tombs. In 1904 there were discovered the engravings of Ventalaperra's cave, in Molinar's neighborhood, besides other archaeological remains in enclaves of the same environment studied at the beginning of the 20th century by J. M. Barandiarán.
Carranza turns out to be already named as Carrantia in the Chronicle of Alfonso III as place populated during the reign of Alfonso I (8th century).
In several ancient documents, Carranza is called Carrantia and also Carrandia. Though the term(end) seems clearly of Latin origin, consensus does not exist on his(her,your) meaning.
Along the last millenium the historians have gathered different lineages in the valley, which names still(yet) perviven in toponyms of neighborhoods and in current surnames of carranzanos, as Ahedo, Bringas, Shell, Aldeacueva, Gil or Negrete.
