Labor Day is an annual holiday to celebrate the economic and social achievements of workers. This is supposed to be the meaning of the holiday but here in the Philippines, our workers have a different meaning to it or gives a different meaning to it.
We, the Filipinos, usually have a protest or a rally so the majority of the workers have an increase on their salary. This is what we have been fighting for every year. Some people are against that the president is moving the worker's holy day. A Tuesday or Thursday celebration can be moved to Monday or Friday so that workers can stretch their weekends for another day.
